Troubleshooting

A PR I pasted didn’t get tracked

Queuebird only sees channels it’s a member of — a deliberate privacy opt-in. Run /invite @Queuebird in the channel and re-paste. If the bot is already there, check that the channel was set up with /qb setup queue or /qb setup intake.

Tracked PRs have no badges and no clocks

The Queuebird GitHub App isn’t connected (or lost its access). A workspace admin runs /qb github and presses Connect GitHub — that’s the step that lets Queuebird read reviews, approvals, and CI. One admin does it once for the whole org.

Queuebird re-reacts 📥 but never creates a duplicate entry.

A PR I pasted while Queuebird was down never showed up

Give it a moment after the next restart — it catches up on its own: PRs pasted meanwhile are tracked or routed with fresh clocks, up to 48 hours back, whether the paste was in a review channel or an intake channel. Older than that, or the app never restarted, re-paste the link or run /qb add <url>.

I deleted the pasted message

That untracks the PR. Its clock stops and it leaves everyone’s queue.

The same goes for a PR added with /qb add — that one is anchored to Queuebird’s own 📥 reply, so deleting the reply untracks it.

Two details worth knowing. PRs found by /qb backfill have no Slack message behind them, so they are never untracked this way. And a message deleted while Queuebird was down still untracks on the next restart, because the catch-up pass checks whether each tracked PR’s message is still there.

I stopped tracking a PR and want it back

DM Queuebird the link again — it comes back as a fresh watch, history intact.

My 👀 claim disappeared

Claims come with a quiet “still on it?” check-in partway through the SLA window. If it goes unanswered for 8 business hours, the claim is released so the PR isn’t silently stuck — you’ll have been DM’d, and pressing 👀 again picks it right back up.

I can’t see PRs from a channel I’m not in

That’s deliberate. A queue belongs to the people in its channel, so you see its PRs if you are a member of the channel, one of its maintainers, or a workspace admin.

You’ll also see any PR you’re personally involved with, wherever it lives — one you opened, were asked to review, were requested on in GitHub, are currently reviewing, or have reviewed before.

If you should be seeing a team’s queue, join their channel.

A PR shows ⚠️ unreachable

Queuebird couldn’t fetch it several times in a row — usually the PR or repo was deleted, or its GitHub access changed.

I’m not getting nudges

Nudges respect your Slack DND, your quiet hours, any per-PR snooze, and your review windows. Check ⚙️ Settings at the top of the app’s Home tab.

A reviewer shows as a raw GitHub login

They haven’t run /qb link yet, so Queuebird can’t map them to a Slack user — they’ll never be DM’d and don’t affect the SLA clock until they link.

A guest pasted a PR and got “limited to members of this workspace”

Deliberate: Queuebird acts only for full members of the workspace. Guests and Slack Connect members from other workspaces can’t track PRs or press card buttons — a member has to paste the link.

Reminders went quiet for a whole channel

Queuebird noticed something broke and paused instead of failing loudly. Two usual causes: the channel died (archived, deleted, or the bot was removed) — the maintainers get a one-shot DM and TEAM QUEUE shows a ⚠️ note — or the GitHub connection died, which shows a Reconnect GitHub button to admins in App Home and /qb github. Fix the cause and everything resumes on its own.
